On feeding my dog rice, veggies and fruit when she was sick:

"I know you're trying to do what's best for your dog but don't you think that given the choice she would rather eat a big fat steak then that vegetarian homemade food you're giving her?"
Me:
"I'm pretty sure that given the choice, she'd eat her own poop over a big fat steak so I'm guessing she's not the best authority on personal health issues."
